Giving birth is a strenuous process for your body. Postnatal massage helps with relaxation, releasing tension in the muscles, increases blood flow and oxygen to your muscles, lowers stress, speeds up recovery from caesarean birth. Post-natal recovery involves more than massage. My intention is to support and nurture the mums, re-educate and refer if necessary.
The strategies used in this education include:
– Soft tissue release
– Post isometric relaxation
– Mini-foam rolling
– Yoga balls
– Simple acupressure
– Breath retraining
– Instrument assisted massage tool (polycarb tool)
– Traditional massage strokes
Each session lasts for a minimum of one hour.
Prior to any session I will require you to complete the Pre-treatment information sheet which can be found here
If any of the contra-indications apply to you, I will require a physicians release form prior to treatment, which can be supplied on request.
Before starting the massage I will also require the mother to sign a pre-release form which can be found here
Purchase your massage here and we will discuss your booking further, or use the contact form on the website to reach out if you have any queries.
